Guide
Series Our criteria, for the guide series, was to outfit professional
guides with a product line that was equivalent or better than
the best fly rods on the market. On the water this would translate
into better presentations, longer casts and quicker hook-ups.
Regardless of wind, sink tips, or weighted nymphs, we made sure
our rods can deliver. Our goal was to make the rods so impressive,
the client would try to purchase the rod right there on the water.
And we succeeded! Because the rods are light and crisp the clients
receive less fatigue and are able to fish longer and harder than
they would otherwise. For the guide this means more fish landed,
which makes for happier customers, bigger tips and a customer
base that comes back year after year.
High
Quality Materials
To make the rod Guide Specific we started out with high modulus
IM8 graphite that was sourced from Japan, rolled into a continuous
and finished off with titanium guides and the highest grade of
Portuguese cork. Revision after revision later yielded a fly rod
that was so impressive even our chief field tester, alias rod
snob James, had to admit, they had become his favorite rods to
fish. We chose three piece consturction to maximize the strength,
minimize the weight and to make the rod easily stowable under
the center seat of most drift boats. And just in case our client
slips in the boat and does the unspeakable, we added a second
tip as standard. The Beulah Guide Series, designed by guides to
earn professional guides a better living.
